Monitors are the easiest. Remember at this scale a little greenstuff and a bit of paint will hide a multitude of sins!

Make sure you post up some pictures of your models.

MM.

Mr.Marxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07621335430374511354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4936943014123968380.post-43685333254332873432013-01-20T19:34:53.342+00:002013-01-20T19:34:53.342+00:00Yup they are I just ordered the early British iron...Yup they are I just ordered the early British ironclads can't wait to get them.

Thanks for the advice on the scratch building it was helpful think I'll find a suitably simple ship to give it a go with first. I would suggest them to anyone.

In terms of scratch building, I have a mechanical pencil, some thick art card (available from any stationers, model shop, &c.), a sharp scalpel and some modelling putty. Generally I work from whatever plans, photographs and paintings I can find after some extensive googleing.

Hope that helps.

MM.Mr.Marxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07621335430374511354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4936943014123968380.post-3542310297446859262013-01-13T16:29:08.169+00:002013-01-13T16:29:08.169+00:00Brilliant stuff, I'm very tempted by those new...Brilliant stuff, I'm very tempted by those new TD British ironclads always had a soft spot for Inflexible.
