Cargo Ships

What-ho Internet!

Painted some more spaceships. This time some Spartan Games/Firestorm Armada Planetary Transports.

I've had the models knocking about for ages, but finally got round to painting them up. They are rather nice, I quite like the design - really they 'look' like Cargo ships.

Painting them up was nice and quick and easy - just drybrushing and inkwashes to bring out the surface details really. I added a few nice bright colours and stuff to

They will soon be pressed into service as targets for my Pirates to loot and plunder.

Kingons off the starboard bow!

Hey Internet,

I painted another thing.

This time, a Mongoose Publishing/Call to Arms 'Klingon D-6 Cruiser'.

The model itself is rather nice in terms of casting, but it was rather 'flashy' and the side bits didn't really fit on properly - needed a bit of filling.

I painted it up in 1960's green-grey to match into its Original Series colour scheme. It looked really, really dull, so I then added some florescent green, bright blues, some reddy bits and some yellow windows and whatnot.

I'm quite happy with how it came out really. I'm looking forward to using it as part of my Pirate Space Fleet.

'Rammy'

Hey Internet,

I've painted a model!

This time - a Hasslefree 'Lisa Lambaste' figure. The figure itself is fantastic and shares a striking resemblance to the character Ramona Flowers, so I painted her up as such.

It didn't even take long to paint this one up, probably no more than 2 hours, once you subtract the various bits of arseing around, dog walking and watching episodes of Star Trek.

I'm rather happy with how Rammy came out. It was really nice to paint some needlessly bright colours for a change rather than the usual drab and army green.

I don't know whats up with the photos (I'm really, really bad at photography), but in 'real life' the colours are worryingly bright and the skin tone is less...brown.

Anyway, what do you think?
