Hey All,
Its been really a rather long time since I've posted up on this ol' thing...real life things got in the way as ever.
Anyway, back to escapism in miniature....
As part of my current Post-Apocalyptic project I decided to make a miniature version of my character from Fallout: New Vegas.....John Hattenguns.
The Model is a simple conversion of Brother Vinni's superb 'Ant Armour Solider model, with a top-hatted head from my bits box (maybe leftover from Heresy Vampire?), a PTRD-41 Rifle from The Assault Group's spare guns line and a fair bit of hair and gap filling done with Milliput.
For those who know the game, I generally trot about in the future wearing the following, and have attempted to model them using my limited skills; Tuxedo Hat, Lucky Shades, Remnant's Power Armour, Anti-Material Armour (all the mods + Explosive Rounds)
As ever, John is accompanied by his trusty Duraframe Eyebot ED-E. Annother fabmodel from Brother Vinni.
Hope you like it.

A Few Great War 15s.
Hey all.
Between other things today I got a pair of 15mm figures painted....big achievement eh?
I placed a decent sized order to Peter Pig the other day to get all the little dudes that Im going to need for my Great War project, and given that I had a little time today I thought I would jump-the-gun and paint up some stuff whilst my enthusiam was amble.
I found out two random figures from the 'spares' box and gave them a lick of paint - a soviet officer (with his little stars filed off his cuffs) and an Italian 'Heroic Officer'. Both models are from battlefront and will do as officer types.
The models are really just to test out colour schemes. I'm rather pleased with them.

^ A German Lieutenant
For the sake of it, here are some scale shots next to the tanks that I painted up the other day.

What do ya all think then?

Frog Armour
Hey all.
Had a little time off work recently and have managed to get a few bits painted.
Because I really, really knew I shouldent, I have stumbled into a new wargameing period - The Great War.
Ive gone and got myself a copy of 'Though the Mud and the Blood' and from what I have read so far its proving to be a damned good set of rules.
Ive decided to do the project in 15mm....because I had a Char 2c in a box already. Im probably going to go with individual figures on Pennys for the infantry, with anything else being elevated to the time honored Two-Penny piece. Im putting togehter a shopping list at the mo - think Im going to go with Blue Moon over Peter Pig, my usual supplyer of 15mm figurines as they have a slightly better range of figures - particularly for the french. However, I will be rounding out the project with some of Peter Pigs and Irregular Miniatures produce.

Two French FT17s in Tri-Colour Camo. They are diddly things, and neither my painting or photography are all too great...so please be forgiving.
A Char 2c;

Whilst not actually used in the War, I am very fond of this french Landship, and I had one in a boxed that had been ear marked for the last few years to become the 'Mobile Oppression Palace' of my African Warlord. I like the idea of extending the War into 1919 and doing some 'what if' scenarios - I cant find any British or German tanks however.

1868 Anglo-Russian War Game at the Club t'uther night.
Ran a game of 'Ironclads' the other night at the Club. The Royal Navy gave the White Bear a damned good thrashing, crippling or sinking three large ships of the line for no loss or significant damage to their own numbers. Everyone appeared to have a bit of fun, even if there was a little universal bafflement at the rules (what with it being their first time playing.)

28mm Colonial Wargame
Just a few pictures from a game that I had over the weekend against a friend of mine who was back in the area. He played as the British, and I was the Sudanese. I got slaughtered in true colonial fashion, but managed to take a few down with me.
The Miniatures were all his - most are Perry's but, some are from elsewhere. The rules were The Sword and The Flame.
Great fun was had all round - I even got Spaghetti and Wine! Thanks Pete!
